Modena has three motorway exits: Modena Sud and Modena North in the A1 (Autostrada del Sole), Modena-Campogalliano in the A22 (Brennero).
It can be reached also with the SS9 (Via Emilia).
Coaches and buses arrive in Modena regularly. The bus station is very close to the city centre.
On the railway line Milan-Bologna lots of trains leave and arrive each hour.

The Bologna International Airport is only 45 minutes from Modena by car.
A shuttle bus is working regularly to the city centre (phone number 840 000216).
It is certainly the best way to visit the city centre of Modena. All interesting places are very easy to reach.
The city centre of Modena is closed to cars, apart from those of the residents. Many car parks (some of them are free) are available near to the centre.

Since 2020, many private companies rent electric scooters.
